Here is a "Fried Chicken" recipe from my new E-book. "This is so vegan delicious" Vegan fried "chicken" can be a tasty and satisfying alternative to traditional fried chicken. It is also a good option for people with dietary restrictions or allergies to animal-derived products. Here is a recipe you may enjoy
Ingredients:
1 block of firm tofu, cut into small cubes
1 cup of all-purpose flour
1 cup of plant-based milk (such as soy milk or almond milk)
1 teaspoon of garlic powder
1 teaspoon of onion powder
1 teaspoon of paprika
1 teaspoon of salt
Oil, for frying
Instructions:
In a shallow dish, mix together the flour, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, and salt.
Pour the plant-based milk into a separate shallow dish.
Dip each piece of tofu into the plant-based milk, and then roll it in the flour mixture to coat it evenly.
Heat a few inches of oil in a large pot or deep fryer to 375°F (190°C).
Carefully add a few pieces of the coated tofu to the hot oil and fry for about 3-4 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy.
Remove the tofu from the oil with a slotted spoon and place it on a paper towel to drain any excess oil.
Repeat the process with the remaining tofu pieces.
Serve the vegan fried "chicken" with your choice of dipping sauce and enjoy!
Note: Be sure to use caution when frying foods, as hot oil can be dangerous. Make sure to keep a close eye on the oil and use a thermometer to monitor the temperature to prevent the oil from getting too hot.
Enjoy!! Love, Lora
